A minimal, solo, tactical combat game with just 54 cards and a few tokens.

• Control the grid to maximize your hand each turn.
• Carefully plan your turns to make the most out of the cards and abilities in your hand, and minimize the damage from each enemy's special ability. 
• Switch between three Fateweavers to make best use their individual advantages.
• Clear the board before going through your deck twice.

You can play Fateweavers for free, at playingcards.io: 

1. Download this file.
2. Go to playingcards.io
3. Click the [ + ] button at the top-right ("New Custom Room")
4. Select "Start Blank Room".
5. Click the "Edit Table" button (looks like a toolbox).
6. Click "Room Options" at the bottom-right.
7. Click "Import from file" and select the file you downloaded in step 1.

Fateweavers was made in one weekend for the Extra Life Game Jam, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The game jam was in support of our children's hospital charity; if you'd like to support it, I'm giving away a Halloween-themed version of Yard Builder for anyone who donates $5 or more until October 31, 2024. This is the only way to get Haunted Yard Builder, until this time next year.

Future development

I'm happy with how the game turned out, for such a short development period. There are things I hope to change in the future to make it feel more dynamic, allow for more interesting combos, and more exciting gameplay. Follow along for updates, as I'm able to make them! 🧡
